Creator:
Anthony Panico was a science teacher and department head at Atlantic City High School for 25 years. Of his work, Panico said, "Working with the staff and students has been a constant source of satisfaction, and I have the privilege of being able to serve as the chairman [of the Science Department]. The department is well known throughout the state and has an excellent reputation. It is my hope that eventually we will have a new building with improved and enlarged science facilities, thereby allowing us to even further improve our science offerings to the community." He retired in the early 1990s.

The Atlantic City High School in which Panico taught his students was constructed in 1921 at Albany and Atlantic Avenues. It welcomed students from 1923 to 1994, and as originally constructed, included 15 science rooms. The building was demolished in 1999.
