Library now offers Oxford English Dictionary e-resource

The Atlantic City Free Public Library has added a new premium e-resource, the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). It is 20 volumes, all available online, and includes supplements to keep it updated. Why so many volumes? Well, it’s no ordinary dictionary. The OED includes all the English words used today, as well as all the English words that have been used in the past, with examples of each use, so that the reader can see how the words have changed over time. While this resource is available at the library, those who have an Atlantic City Library card can access this great resource from any device with an Internet connection 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
