The Atlantic City Free Public Library will officially kick off its Summer Reading Program for children and teenagers with a party Tuesday, June 25, at 2 p.m. in the Main Library’s second-floor meeting room. The launch party, which is for kids ages 17 and younger, will include great stories, games, refreshments and special guests.

The Atlantic City Free Public Library has instituted changes to its computer training program that will make taking classes easier and more convenient. One of the changes is that pre-registration is no longer required. The classes, which are open to Atlantic City Library card holders, are now on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in attending are asked to bring their Atlantic City Library card to class.

 The Atlantic City Free Public Library held a ceremonial ribbon cutting for its new Richmond Branch Library on Wednesday, April 17. The ceremony coincided with National Library Week (April 14-20). A short ceremony included remarks by Mayor Lorenzo T. Langford, Library Director Maureen Sherr Frank, board members Curene Clark Ervin and Donna Haye, and former long-time Richmond Branch Library coordinator Theda Bradley. |

 Sign up for one, or several our of online book clubs, depending on what you like to read.You will start receiving a daily "dose of book" delivered straight to your email. On Monday new books are started in the clubs. Each day you will receive a little more of the featured book. By the end of the week, you will have sampled 2-3 chapters, enough to know if you "just-have-to" finish the book by checking it out from the library.  |
