The Atlantic City Free Public Library will offer a Financial Literacy Class Series this spring. A representative from OceanFirst Bank will lead the series. These classes are offered as part of of the Community Center Digital Connect Program (CCDC). 
The late William K. Cheatham left an indelible mark on the Atlantic City Free Public Library – and now his name has a permanent place at the library. The library’s facility at 1 North Tennessee Ave. has officially been named the William K. Cheatham Building. Library and city officials, family and friends remembered Cheatham at a special ceremony April 22 revealing a new sign that bears his name.

The Atlantic City Free Public Library held a ceremonial ribbon cutting for its new Richmond Branch Library on Wednesday, April 17. The ceremony coincided with National Library Week (April 14-20).A short ceremony included remarks by Mayor Lorenzo T. Langford, Library Director Maureen Sherr Frank, board members Curene Clark Ervin and Donna Haye, and former long-time Richmond Branch Library coordinator Theda Bradley.
The library provided a Richmond Branch at the original Richmond Avenue School from July 1923-July 2009. The school was demolished in ’09 after voters approved a referendum earlier that year to build new Richmond and Pennsylvania avenue schools.
The new Richmond Branch Library is 3,000 square feet – five times larger than the previous branch. The increased size allows the library to offer programs, more public computers and an expanded selection of resources.

The branch, located in the new Richmond Avenue School, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
