Ex-ACPD captain, boxer to discuss his book 'Home Boy' on Sept. 19
Atlantic City native George Nelson, a retired Atlantic City Police Department captain and former boxing champion, will discuss his book “Home Boy” on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. in the Main Library meeting room.
Part autobiography and part true crime, Home Boy reflects on the author’s time commanding Atlantic City’s Major Crime Squad. His evoking account embodies the toils and efforts of the author with a city full of shady and complicated individuals with their own agenda.
The City of Atlantic City recognized Nelson by installing a historical marker, which features a biography listing his professional and personal accomplishments, on the southeast corner of Ohio and Arctic avenues. Please call (609) 345-2269 for more information.
