Atlantic City Free Public Library teen volunteer Milani Hill is the recent recipient of a President’s Volunteer Service Award. Hill earned the gold-level award after volunteering more than 200 hours in the library’s Youth Services Department in 2024.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. and library Board of Trustees President Libbie Wills presented Hill with her certificate at the library’s monthly board meeting held Jan. 28. This is the second straight year Hill has earned the award.

“Milani's dedication to serving the community is truly inspiring,” Atlantic City Free Public Library Director Melissa McGeary said. “Her leadership, dependability, and enthusiasm for service shine through in everything she does — whether she's shelving library materials, assisting with youth programs, or representing the library at community events. We're very proud of her well-deserved recognition.”
