he Atlantic City Free Public Library will host a virtual job skills workshop series for teens. This four-part series will be held Saturdays at 10 a.m. beginning Oct. 4. Registration is required. The workshops are free.
The sessions will be held Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 on Zoom. Registration is open to teens who will attend all four sessons. In this series, participants will review the following subjects:

- Resume Writing & Cover Letter Etiquette: Focuses on teaching participants how to create effective resumes and cover letters that capture the attention of potential employers. Topics include crafting a clear and concise structure, highlighting relevant experience and skills, and showcasing professional etiquette. Participants will apply what they learn to their own resumes and cover letters to create a strong professional image - handouts included.
- Using LinkedIn for Employment Opportunities & Online Branding: Educates job seekers on the fundamentals of LinkedIn, how to navigate the site, and the benefits of maximizing their online brand presence to attract companies and increase their chances of employment opportunities.
- Networking for Job Placement: Provides job seekers with relationship management insights to gain traction with employment opportunities through community value development - handouts included.
- Career Coaching Insights & Job Interview Prep: Prepares prospective candidates for interviews by teaching crucial skills such as interviewing tactics, common questions, and professional demeanor. The workshop allows participants to practice their interview skills and is beneficial for both new and experienced job seekers looking to improve their interviewing skills - handouts included.
