Scope and Content:
This collection contains all reports from the National Climatic Data about the weather in Atlantic City. These reports in the collection begin in 1990 and go through 2005. The reports were generated each month, with a daily break down of climatological data from each day including temperature (minimum and maximum), the type of weather, precipitation, wind, and minutes of sunshine, size of cloud cover, and monthly totals for the different categories. In addition, on each monthly report, there is a breakdown of different temperatures and precipitation by three hour intervals, and hourly intervals, respectively. For each year, there is also a yearly report that contains the breakdown of different climatological data, graphs, charts, yearly and monthly totals going back to 1961 in various categories.
Later years of the collection include reference notes and supplemental summaries to define certain terms used in the report and describe what different categories indicate.
The last year of the collection is 2005 and reports are only generated until September. After September reports are online at: http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/qclcd/QCLCD?prior=N
System of Arrangement:
These records are arranged by year in acid-free folders, with each folder containing a separate year of reports. The folders are placed in chronological order and placed in an acid-free box.
