Teen Health & Wellness eResource tackles variety of topics

THWThe Atlantic City Free Public Library now offers the award-winning eResource Teen Health & Wellness for middle and high school students. Articles focus on a variety of topics that impact teens, such as drugs and alcohol, diversity, nutrition, mental health, suicide, vaping, bullying, green living, LGBTQ+ issues and more.

Teen Health & Wellness is available all day, every day to card holders with internet access. Also, it’s available to those inside the Main Library or Richmond Branch Library.All of the content – reviewed by leading professionals in medicine, mental health, nutrition guidance and career counseling – is created for teens with their unique concerns and perspective in mind. Information throughout is presented using a sensitive, respectful and age-appropriate approach. Teen friendly articles makes complex topics understandable. They also give insight into the teen experience — crucial for parents, teachers, librarians, therapists and others who are a part of teens’ lives.

Article text can instantly be translated into more than 100 languages – and there is a foreign-language read-aloud feature so users can listen in the language of their choice, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Russian and Spanish.
