  • Make it! To Go: Recycled Book Crafts
    When: Wednesday, October 01, 2014 - All Day
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    Take home a kit to make 5+ different crafts from recycled book pages in honor of Teen Read Week! Ages 10-18. Pick up your kit in the teen area of youth services. Available while supplies last.
  • Teen Read Week Celebration
    When: Wednesday, October 01, 2014 - All Day

    Drop into the teen section of the library for YA books dressed in costumes and a take-home book craft, then participate online in our Instagram and Facebook challenges. Prizes will be awarded at the end of Teen Read Week (October 12-18).
  • Comic Drawing
    When: Thursday, October 02, 2014 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Main Library -- Second Floor Meeting Room

    Marvel/DC comic illustrator Joe Del Beato will lead drawing instruction for children and teens ages 7 to 17. Learn how to draw your favorite characters. Ages 7-17. All materials supplied. No experience necessary.
  • Teen Advisory Group Meeting
    When: Saturday, October 04, 2014 - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    TAG is our teen volunteering group, where teens ages 13-18 can help plan teen events, tell the library what materials to buy, and get volunteer hours for decorating the library, helping with kids events, and more. Free pizza is included with every meeting!
  • STEM Saturdays: Blinking and Coding
    When: Saturday, October 04, 2014 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Teen Zone (2nd Floor - Main Library)

    One Saturday per month, join us for a STEM-related project! This month we’ll make light up paper circuits and learn to program the Arduino microcontroller to blink, spell names, tell time, tweet, and more.
