Thomas Kemble Reed (b. 1839) was a physician in Atlantic City. He studied medicine in Philadelphia, and then moved to Atlantic City to practice with his father, becoming the island's second doctor.
Reed, known as Dr. Tom to his friends, was active in the Atlantic City community. He served as City Clerk in 1867, was involved in an early venture to dig wells and install waterworks, was one of the directors of the Atlantic City National Bank, was on the board of directors in charge of the 1904 celebration to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Atlantic City, and served in several appointed roles for the Atlantic City Gas & Water company. For many years he resided at 22 North Pennsylvania Avenue, and he conducted his medical practice from his residence.
Reed painted these drawings of flowers in the Atlantic City area from 1907-1910. He died about 1910.

The paintings are arranged in numerical order, based on Reeds chronological numbering system. Some of the paintings are mounted on mat board, while others are loose.
